Everyone needs good basics in their wardrobe. Being able to rely on a trusty set of clothes that work for most occasions gives you peace of mind when stress strikes. But what should you actually choose? Here are my three favorites.

Here are my favorites that go with everything:
White oversized shirt
This piece is a true classic. It works just as well with a casual look as it does with a more dressed-up one. It all comes down to what you choose to wear with the shirt. Throw it on over your bikini in the summer when you’re hanging out at the beach—or wear it under a cardigan in the winter. A white oversized shirt works year-round and is easy to pair with other pieces. A staple in my wardrobe.
Soft-touch T-shirt
T-shirts come in so many varieties. If you choose a T-shirt made of soft-touch fabric, you get a slightly more luxurious feel than with classic cotton T-shirts. This gives you more variety and more options for pairing with other clothes. I like to throw on a soft-touch T-shirt with a pair of suit pants—it looks stylish without being too dressy.
Knitted Sweater
One of my favorite things is snuggling into a really nice knit sweater. In the winter or on late summer evenings, with heels or sneakers—a knit sweater works for any occasion. While a hoodie can potentially change your entire look, a good knit sweater complements the rest of your outfit. That way, you can stay warm without compromising on quality.
