Are you tired of static clothing?
Do you miss the smell of freshly laundered clothes when you air out your woolen garments? I have a tip that kills two birds with one stone. Linen water solves both problems with flying colors.
We’ve all been there. The skirt fabric clings to your leg and refuses to let go. Your hair is sticking out in all directions after your head pushed through your sweater. The blouse that’s supposed to drape beautifully instead wrinkles up and presses against your skin.
Static electricity can completely ruin an outfit and make anyone feel uncomfortable in their clothes. Synthetic materials, in particular, tend to build up static. Static electricity is caused by friction and can feel impossible to get rid of.
Fortunately, there are some simple tricks you can use. The simplest of them all is linen water.
There are two main benefits to using linen water in your clothing care routine:
Say goodbye to static-prone clothes
Flax water has amazing properties that both reduce static electricity and make ironing easier. Be sure to spray the linen water on your clothes a few times before putting them on, and you’ll quickly notice how much better they drape—and how you won’t have to deal with the fabric clinging to your skin with no way to resist it. Linen water is especially useful for synthetic garments, which are particularly prone to static.
The scent of freshly laundered
Many garments are better off not being washed too often. I’m thinking especially of woolen garments, which risk losing their shape and quality when washed regularly. Instead, it’s best to air out these types of garments regularly to keep them fresh without causing wear and tear. But are you, like me, missing that scent of freshly laundered clothes when you put them back on? Spray a few spritzes of linen water, and you’ll see that the garment both smells and feels freshly laundered—even though it isn’t.
